Spawning in the van

To begin using the Speed Camera Van, you'll firstly need to spawn in either the Non-ELS or ELS version of the van (whichever is pre-defined in your config file), the spawn codes are:

• Non-ELS version: speedcameravan

• ELS version: speedcameravanels

Accessing the rear

To access the seat in the rear of the van and begin setting up the camera, you'll need to press H whilst parked up and stationary in the drivers seat.

If permissions are enabled in your config file, you'll need to make sure that you have sufficient permissions to carry out this function.

Van Mode

This can either be set to "uk", "eu" or "us", which changes:

• Borders and fonts on the menu

• Plate style and sign styles

Opening the window

Next, you'll need to follow the on-screen prompt and press E to open the van window.

Setting up the camera

Next, press E again to setup the camera. This will load the camera on the mount in front of you.

Selecting the speed limit and fine amount

After you have setup the camera mount in front of you, a menu will open which advises you to enter the speed limit for this road and the fine amount.

Selecting these values must be within the parameters of the maximum and minimum values set within your config file, which are there to prevent users from charging unnecessarily high fines.

Entering the camera

After you have set the speed and the fine amount, it is now time to enter the camera mode. You will now see a prompt in the top left hand corner of your screen which advises you of the following:

• Press E to enter the camera

• Press Z to change mode - manual by default

• Press Backspace to exit

Manual / Automatic Mode

The mode can only be switched when sat in the seat and not currently in the camera mode. Manual mode allows you to move the red laser around and press ENTER when you want to issue a fine. Automatic mode allows you to move the red laser around, before locking it in position. Once locked, the system will automatically issue fines whilst you remain entered into the camera.

To move the laser, use your arrow keys.

Issuing Fines

After you are finished in your current camera session, press G at any time to open the camera menu. This will bring up the menu which allows you to view all captured vehicles and issue fines at the press of a button. You can also search by licence plate and view photos of the different vehicles if screenshot basic is enabled and running on your server.
