Smart Tyre brings random and crash based punctured tyres to your server, giving drivers the ability to change tyres with a spare at the roadside to continue their journey.
Tyres within a vehicle can be punctured by one of three ways in-game:
Crash Detected - After detecting a crash, there is a chance that one of the tyres on the vehicle will become deflated, or even down to the rim.
Burnout - After performing a burnout, there is a chance that one of the tyres on the vehicle will become deflated, or even down to the rim.
Random Chance - Whilst driving round, there is a small chance that one of the tyres on the vehicle will become deflated, or even down to the rim.
After experiencing a tyre, you may notice the following:
On Screen Message - A warning icon will appear on the screen for the driver of the vehicle, showing them that their tyre is either deflated or fully down to the rim (with two different icons).
Gradual Deflation - Tyres will continue to deflate if the driver ignores the puncture, meaning it may end up going fully down to the rim.
Reduced Power - Power will be reduced to the wheel and steering will be restricted when a tyre is deflated or down to the rim.
The process of changing the tyre to a spare one can be done by players at the roadside. This process involves getting a jack out of the boot, before removing the damaged tyre and installing the spare.
Firstly, walk up to the boot of your vehicle to access the jack, following the prompts. Next, take the jack to the tyre which is damaged and follow the prompts to place it down.
Next, follow the prompt to start pumping the jack - using arrow keys to do so until the prompt changes.
Next, follow the prompt at the old tyre to remove it from the vehicle. Next, carry this to the boot and place it in, following the prompts.
Next, follow the prompts to grab the spare tyre from the boot of the vehicle and take this back to the missing wheel in order to install it.
Follow the prompt at the wheel to install the spare tyre.
After installing the spare tyre, you should not exceed 50 MPH or there is a small chance that the spare wheel may fly off, leaving you with only three wheels. If you continue to drive on three wheels, there is a chance that your vehicle will set on fire.
