Using the resource
Fire Supply Line is designed to be simple to use, yet providing a realistic experience for your server.
Make sure your resource folder is named "Supply-Line" to allow integration with our Smart Hose resource. Do not rename the resource folder.

Water Tanks
Each fire truck has its water tank, which depending on what is configured for your server, may be a smaller or larger water tank than others. As you use Smart Hose, this water level will decrease until it is refilled at a Fire Hydrant or a Light Portable Pump.
Water Tanks can be configured to either spawn in empty or fully filled (or between), which is explained in the next documentation page.
Accessing the control panel
To access the control panel, walk up to a configured fire truck and press G (or another key if it has been changed) to open the display. You will see the keybinds as a prompt in-game to remind you.

After pressing G, the control panel will open on your screen:

This menu is used for the following actions:
View water and foam levels
Enabling / Disabling the pump
Creating Foam
Transferring water to another truck
Opening / Closing the lines (Attack / Discharge / Intake)
Attack / Discharge / Intake Lines
Attack Line - This line should be opened when you want to utilise water through a fire hose.
Discharge Line - This line should be opened when you want to discharge water to another fire truck.
Intake Line - This line should be opened when you want to receive water, either from another truck, a hydrant or a Light Portable Pump.
Opening or closing a line
To open a line, drag the relevant circle onto the "Push To Pump" button. Once the line is opened, you will see it displaying on the right hand side in the black area, as such:

As you can see in the photo above, both the Attack and Intake lines are open, meaning I am able to receive water from a hydrant/light portable pump/another truck and also use the hose. If I wanted to discharge water to another truck, I would need to open the discharge line.
To close a line, just press the red X next to the open line. All actions produce a notification, such as when a line is opened, letting you know the action has been completed successfully.
Pump Engaged / Disengaged
The pump is used as the power which moves water, either through the attack, discharge or intake lines. Enabling the pump is needed to use the hose, transfer between trucks, create foam and utilise a portable pump. When the pump is enabled, this also switches on the engine in order to generate power.
All features can be used without the pump being engaged, however having the pump engaged means pressure can go higher than the initial configured default pressure (usually 0.5).
Connecting to a hydrant
To connect to a hydrant, firstly walk up to the fire truck and press Z to grab a line. Next, walk up to the hydrant and follow the prompts in order to make the connection.

Next, head back to the Fire Truck and open the Intake line, along with enabling the pump. Next, walk to the hydrant and press H (following the prompt) in order to open the hydrant, allowing the intake.
These actions are required in the specific order in order to make this as realistic as possible.
To disconnect form the hydrant, just reverse this process and follow the prompts. Remember to close your Intake line and also disable the pump if it is no longer needed.
The current level of the fire truck will be displayed at the bottom of your screen. You do not have to wait until the refilling process is complete in order to begin using your Smart Hose, as it can be used at the same time in order to allow you a constant source of water.
Place hydrant command
We've included the optional /hydrant [setup/remove] command given that some areas of the map do not have any fire hydrants. If this command is enabled for your server, using the /hydrant setup command will add a new fire hydrant at your current location, allowing you to connect to it. In order to remove the hydrant, just use the /hydrant remove command once you are finished with it.
Setting up a Light Portable Pump
To setup a Light Portable Pump, walk to the edge of a water source on land - such as a river, lake or beach. Next, use the /lpp place command to setup a Light Portable Pump.
This will then put you into the placement mode. Once you are happy with the placement of your Light Portable Pump (which should be on land), press ENTER (following the prompt on screen).
Next, walk into the water to place the second part of the LPP. Once in the water, press ENTER again.

Next, walk back to your Fire Truck and grab a line (by pressing Z), before walking back to the Light Portable Pump and setting this up in the same way as your Fire Hydrant. You'll then want to ensure that your Intake Line is open and your Pump is turned on. You can then walk up to the Light Portable Pump and follow the prompt to turn it on, meaning it will start pumping water through your Intake Line and into your Water Tank, within your fire truck.
Light Portable Pumps are an excellent way to gather water in rural areas, such as from lakes and rivers where no hydrants are available. This is the best option to maximise realism during roleplay, rather than using the hydrant placement command to spawn in a fire hydrant.
To put a Light Portable Pump away, firstly disconnect any lines from the fire truck and closing any relevant lines, before using the /lpp remove command - which will then allow you to place another Light Portable Pump at your next incident.
Truck To Truck Connection
Truck to Truck connection allows you to share water between two fire trucks. This is especially useful for rural areas where one truck is on scene, yet not near a hydrant or a water source. You may want to drop off a water tank (such as our Water Carrier and Command Unit) before hooking it up.
In order to start a truck to truck connection, firstly walk up to the first fire truck and press Z to grab a line. Next, walk up to the second fire truck and follow the prompt in order to connect the fire truck.
Next, you'll want to make sure the pumps are enabled on both fire trucks. On the first fire truck, you'll want to open the Discharge Line. On the second fire truck, you'll want to open the Intake Line.
Next, you can go back to the first fire truck and press Transfer Water on the control panel, to begin.
Getting a Fire Hose (Requires Smart Hose)
In order to get a fire hose, you'll firstly want to make sure you have sufficient water/foam in the tank, that the pump is enabled and the Attack Line is open. Next, press E to get the fire hose (Smart Hose).
