Smart Vehicle is a powerful resource allowing the creation of moveable vehicle parts. The resource has empowered the creation of many types of vehicles, including the recovery truck and SWAT vehicle on our store, both by London Studios and a host of vehicles by third party developers.

### Why do I need Smart Vehicle?

Smart Vehicle is the brains behind the moveable parts on a wide range of vehicles, empowering the creation of recovery trucks, ladder trucks and more.

Smart Vehicle began as Smart Ladder, which was released as a singular vehicle - our British Ladder Truck. Smart Ladder proved popular and was used widely amongst FiveM servers. We then opened up Smart Ladder to third party vehicle developers, who then created a wide range of vehicles much beyond the original scope of ladder trucks - meaning we renamed the resource to Smart Vehicle.

Many vehicles are now reliant on Smart Vehicle, including [all of the vehicles seen on our store.](https://store.londonstudios.net/category/vehicles) Therefore, a valid copy of Smart Vehicle is required for the moveable parts to work on any of our vehicles or those used by third party developers - all of which must be purchased separately.

### Are Smart Vehicles lore friendly?

All Smart Vehicles released by London Studios through our store are lore friendly and therefore compliant with the FiveM terms of service.

Vehicles released by third party developers may not meet this requirement, so make sure to enquire with any third party developers before purchasing a vehicle from them to ensure you comply with the FiveM terms of service, preventing action being taken against your server by Cfx.Re.

### Compatible Vehicles

View the full list of compatible vehicles using the link below. Each of these vehicles requires you to have a copy of Smart Vehicle to work, so make sure you have that first before purchasing another vehicle.

### Downloading the Resource

Please note the resource is named **Smart Ladder** on Cfx Portal / Keymaster as we are unable to change this. Please ensure the resource name remains as **SmartVehicle** as it should be when downloaded.

### Smart Vehicle Resource Monitor/Statistics

The performance of Smart Vehicle resources depends which vehicles are currently spawned in an area and how many there are. Here’s a rundown of its performance if only one vehicle is currently spawned, during idle performance:
