Officers can restrain and move people, use a megaphone, take notes, scan for weapons, place knife arches and stingers, check speeds, show ID, use a flashlight, and carry PAVA spray. Most actions are available from keybinds, chat commands, or a radial menu. ## Features * **Cuffing, dragging and tackling** - Restrain players, escort them, and take them to the ground. Works on nearby players and, if enabled, world pedestrians. * **Seat in vehicle** - Place a cuffed person into a nearby vehicle, or take them back out. * **Hands up and knees** - Hold a key to raise hands, or use a command to kneel with hands up. * **Radial menu** - Open a quick menu for player actions and tools. Default key is **F6**. * **Megaphone** - Use a handheld megaphone on foot, or a vehicle megaphone in eligible police cars. Works with popular voice systems. * **Police notepad** - Write notes across several pages, share a page with someone nearby, copy text, and save between sessions. * **Search wand** - Scan the nearest person for configured weapons and items. * **Knife arch** - Place temporary or permanent metal detection arches that scan people walking through. * **Speed gun** - Aim a handheld speed gun to read speed and plate, with optional fining through Smart Speed Cameras. * **Warrant card / police ID** - Show a UK style warrant card or USA style police ID to people nearby. * **Flashlight** - Equip a police flashlight with a beam that nearby players can see. * **PAVA spray** - Draw a handheld irritant spray and hold fire to spray a short stream. Affects nearby players and, if enabled, pedestrians. * **Stingers** - Place spike strips, deploy them with a handheld remote, and pick them up again when finished. * **Permission support** - Ace Permissions, QBCore, ESX, vRP and QBX are supported. * **Notification systems** - Compatible with QBCore, ESX, vRP, QBX and okokNotify, or standard GTA notifications. * **Item support** - Optional inventory items for the notepad and stingers, including OX Inventory, QB, Quasar and ESX. * **Translations** - Change every player facing message in the config to suit your server or language. ## Getting started 1. Download Police Tools from your [Cfx Portal](https://portal.cfx.re/assets/granted-assets) account and extract the folder into your server `resources` directory. 2. Add the resource to `server.cfg`. Keep the folder named **PoliceTools**: ```cfg ensure PoliceTools ``` 3. If you also run Fire Tools or Smart Hose, start Police Tools **after** those resources so the speed gun weapon stays registered. 4. Open `config.lua` and set [permissions](/london-studios-documentation/resources/police-tools/permissions-and-notifications.md) before going live on a public server. 5. Restart the server, then press **F6** in-game (or run `/radialmenu`) to open the radial menu.
